In order to be able to engage in residential training at Dainen-ji, one must be a student of Zen Master Anzan Hoshin's Lineage.
With the Undo serving as a dormitory space, students can register for periods of residential training at Dainen-ji for anywhere from overnight to several weeks.
This involves attending the practice schedule, evening meals, participation in regular soji (cleaning the practice halls) and samu (care-taking). During the days one would go to one's job or could do extra sitting and study outside of a retreat schedule. Please see the Dana Information page for the daily cost for residential training.
