Rev. Chiso Tzelnic anagarika

Rev. Chiso anagarika lives in the US, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She started practising in 1992 after reading a book by Ven. Anzan Hoshin roshi. After traveling to Ottawa for an introductory workshop, she continued to practice as a long distance public student. In 1995, she was accepted as a formal student by Ven. Anzan Hoshin roshi, traveling to Ottawa six times a year.

In 2001 at the October Daruma-ki O-sesshin she received lay monk vows (as she was a householder, living with her husband and two children). On February 20th, 2016 after the Nehan O-sesshin, she received transmission as a practice advisor from Ven. Anzan Hoshi roshi.

Chiso anagarika worked as a pediatric occupational therapist in early intervention until her retirement in 2010, after which she continued presenting workshops in child development and developmental disabilities. She lived in Romania and Israel before moving to the US in 1979.
